There’s no need for a car, as public transportation is abundant. The SunRunner bus stops right out front and connects St. Pete Beach to downtown St. Petersburg, with stops at Tropicana Field, cultural attractions, restaurants, shopping, and the iconic St. Petersburg Pier. A PSTA trolley connects beach communities to the north, and the FreeBee electric shuttle offers free rides anywhere on the beach. Taxis, Uber, and beach ride vans are readily available—and if you do bring a car, parking at Sunrise is free.
